To celebrate Todd's (my older brother) 28th birthday, we all drove up to Yorktown to tour the battlefield. Unfortunately, Patrick is still in Iraq, so he didn't get to come with us, but we had such a fun afternoon looking through the museum, watching the short video, and touring the battlefield. Patrick's parents bought us an annual pass to the National Park Service grounds at both Yorktown and Jamestown while they were here in July, so we were able to take advantage of the pass and only had to buy one additional ticket! We got some great family pictures on the battlefield!
After the guided tour, we took the driving tour, taking turns reading the signs at each stop. Unfortunately, I think we were all paying more attention to the dozens of deer we saw along the route!
